Although science, by its nature, strives to remain objective in its quest for understanding, it also gives us a wonderful and awe-inspiring window into the beauty of the natural world, in all of its intricacies and subtleties, and to the elegance and complexity of the universe. Help spread this idea that science is beautiful by participating in the Let’s Talk Science 'Science is Beautiful' arts contest, and maybe win some cool prizes in the process!
Participate
The Science is Beautiful arts contest is open to Canadian students in grades 9-12. Both individual and group entries are accepted. But there is a limit of one submission per individual or group.
There is no restriction on the type of submission - your artwork can consist of photographs, paintings, sculptures, poems or prose, song or music, film, interpretive dances, or any other medium you can think of that allows you to share the beauty of science! Science is everywhere, so be creative!
For example, you could photograph multi-coloured flames created by burning different metals to produce dramatic photos or create a painting or musical composition representing the Big Bang in an original way.
